This policy explains how TobiStylx Academy uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. It lets the site remember things between page loads — most importantly, that you are signed in.

2. The short version

We use essential cookies to run the site (keeping you signed in), and analytics & advertising cookies from TikTok to understand how people find our courses and to measure our marketing. The TikTok tracker stays off until you acceptit on our cookie banner — decline and it never loads. Essential cookies always run because the site can't work without them. We do not sell your personal data. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.

3. Cookies we use

Essential — authentication

When you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets cookies that hold your session so you stay signed in as you move between pages, and so the server knows which lessons and certificates belong to you. These are required — the student dashboard, course player and admin area cannot work without them.

• Purpose: keeping you signed in and securing your account.
• Duration: your session; refreshed while you remain active and cleared when you sign out.
• Set by: TobiStylx Academy via Supabase.

Essential — security and delivery

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may set cookies needed for load balancing and to protect the site from abuse.

Analytics & advertising — TikTok Pixel

We use the TikTok Pixelto measure how our TikTok content and ads bring people to the site, and which pages and actions follow. The pixel loads TikTok's analytics script and may set cookies or use similar storage on your device, and shares limited event data (such as pages viewed) with TikTok.

• Purpose: marketing analytics and ad measurement.
• Set by: TikTok (Bytedance), a third party.
• Consent required: this pixel only loads after you press Accepton our cookie banner. If you decline, it never runs. You can also block cookies for this site (see below), use your browser's tracking protection, or adjust your ad settings in the TikTok app. TikTok's use of any data it receives is governed by its own privacy policy.

4. Third-party content embedded in lessons

Some lessons embed video from third parties. These providers may set their own cookies or use similar storage when a video loads or plays:

• YouTube (Google) — we embed YouTube lessons in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which avoids cookies used for ad personalisation. Google may still use storage needed to play the video and measure playback.
• Bunny.net — our video host may use storage necessary to stream video and remember playback preferences.

These only come into play on pages where such a video is present. Their use of data is governed by their own policies.

5. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings — every major browser lets you do this, usually under “Privacy” or “Cookies and site data”.

Please note: if you block our essential cookies you will not be able to sign in, and the courses, dashboard and certificates will not work. The public pages of the site will still be readable.

6. Changes to this policy

If we add or change the cookies and trackers we use, we will update this page, reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
