Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TobiStylx Academywebsite, our self-paced online courses, and our residential academy programme (together, the “Services”). By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or applying to the residential programme, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
TobiStylx Academy is operated from 4 Tiwadayo Estate, Opposite Dele Yes Sir, Bolanle, Osogbo, Osun State. You can reach us at hello@tobistylx.com or +2349135581405.
1. Who may use the Services
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf and consents to your participation — this is especially important for the residential programme, which involves living on campus.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password confidential.
- Your account is personal to you. Do not share your login details — accounts are for a single student.
- Tell us promptly at hello@tobistylx.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
3. Online courses — enrolment and payment
Paid online courses are currently paid by bank transfer. The process is:
- You select a course and choose to enrol. This creates a pending enrolment — it does not yet give you access.
- You transfer the course fee to the account shown on the course page and send your proof of payment to us on WhatsApp.
- We verify the payment and approve your enrolment. Access is unlocked only once we have confirmed the funds, usually within a few hours but in any case as soon as reasonably practicable.
Course prices are listed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We may change prices at any time, but a change will never affect a course you have already paid for. Enrolments obtained without a completed, verified payment may be declined or revoked.
4. Access to course content
Once approved, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the course for your own learning, for the lifetime of the course on our platform. Lessons may unlock progressively as you complete the preceding lesson.
We may update, improve, or retire course material over time. If we retire a course you have paid for, we will give you reasonable notice and access to an equivalent replacement where possible.
5. Intellectual property and content misuse
All course videos, patterns, worksheets, images, and written material are owned by TobiStylx Academy or our licensors and are protected by copyright. Your licence does not allow you to:
- download, screen-record, re-upload, resell, or publicly share any lesson or worksheet;
- share your account, or show the course to non-enrolled people as a substitute for their own enrolment;
- use our patterns or materials to run your own competing course or training programme.
You are encouraged to use the skills you learn — including making and selling bags you produce — in your own business. The restriction is on redistributing our teaching material, not on what you create with the skills.
We may suspend or terminate access, without refund, where we find deliberate content piracy or account sharing.
6. Certificates
A certificate of completion is issued automatically once you have completed every lesson in a course. Certificates confirm completion of our programme only; they are not a government-accredited or regulated qualification.
7. Refunds
Because course content is delivered digitally and immediately on approval, online course fees are non-refundable once your enrolment has been approved and access granted, except where the law requires otherwise or where we are unable to deliver the course.
If you paid but were never granted access, or you were charged in error, contact us at hello@tobistylx.com and we will investigate and refund where appropriate.
8. Residential academy
The residential programme is a separate, in-person, boarding programme with limited admission slots per cohort. Additional terms apply:
- The registration fee (₦10,000) secures your place in a cohort and is non-refundable once your place has been confirmed, as it takes a limited slot out of circulation.
- Tuition and accommodation fees are payable as communicated to you before the cohort begins. A place is only confirmed once we have received and verified payment.
- Slots are allocated on a first-confirmed basis. The number shown as remaining on our website is indicative and updated manually.
- Students living on campus must follow the house rules, safety instructions, and workshop equipment procedures given to them. We may end a student's participation for conduct that endangers others, damages equipment, or seriously disrupts the cohort.
- We may reschedule a cohort where necessary (for example, if minimum numbers are not met). If we cancel a cohort outright, you may choose a later cohort or a refund of amounts paid for the cancelled cohort.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- interfere with, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services or another user's account;
- upload anything unlawful, or use the Services to harass or defraud others;
- scrape or bulk-download our content by automated means.
10. Third-party services
We use trusted third parties to deliver the Services — for example video hosting and delivery, email delivery, and cloud hosting. Their handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy. Links to external sites (such as WhatsApp) are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
11. Availability
We work to keep the Services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Services temporarily for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.
12. Liability
Bag making involves the use of tools, machinery, adhesives and sharp implements. You are responsible for working safely and following any safety instructions given. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TobiStylx Academy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of business arising from your use of the Services or the application of skills learned.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Nigerian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time and request deletion of your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms — for example by pirating course content or endangering others on campus.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes affecting your rights will, where reasonably possible, be communicated to you by email. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Osun State have jurisdiction over any dispute — though we would much rather resolve things directly, so please contact us first.
